Limited Edition of 350 plus 35 Artist Proofs by noted 20th century artist and illustrator, Albert Dorne. Published by The Margo Feiden Galleries Ltd. in New York on 100% archival Arches watercolor heavyweight paper, each Giclée has been numbered and then signed by Shermane Billingsley. The Art is 15” x 20” and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from The Margo Feiden Galleries Ltd.
The original 1953 painting was a gift from the artist to Sherman Billingsley and now hangs in Shermane Billingsley’s home. Used as an illustration by Collier’s magazine, it quickly became an iconic image of the Stork Club, as it captured many of the famous “regulars” of that era (Elizabeth Taylor, Lana Turner, Arthur Godfrey, Tallulah Bankhead, Dorothy Kilgallen, Joan Crawford, Walter Winchell and more!) among Sherman Billingsley’s loyal patrons (with Sherman included in the sweep of the room!). Sherman used Dorne’s illustration as cover art on many of the Stork Club menus.

A Limited Edition of 350 prints of a Stork Club menu plus 35 Artist Proofs with the same Dorne illustration, each numbered and then signed by Shermane Billingsley. The original menu was distinctive for its rare Sherman Billingsley autograph as well as die cuts for an 8×10 photo. The Limited Edition prints retain these features and is 8 ½”x 11” in size.
